Escape room board game anyone?

Wow wow wow, this game proved to be more challenging than I ever expected it to be. It’s a far cry from the clue game from when I was in my youth and the age limit set for this game 10 and up does not seem to be reasonable unless you’re dealing with little geniuses. We played with two people a 15-year-old and a 45-year-old, and both of us still could not get to the end of the game and had to take hints for quite a few of the puzzles that you had to solve to get around the board. Some of the same characters from the very original game are in this game rewritten with a new updated spin and the board set up is very unique and compact unlike it’s older partner. Is it for everyone I would say no. However, if you’re a person that loves puzzles escape rooms, thinking outside the box and challenges this game is probably for you. It was a little intense for my group of people and we end up playing it for about 2 1/2 hours and still did not get through the whole game. I would have a very hard time playing this with more than two people. Personally, this game was not for me although it was not a bad game I would probably not choose to buy some thing in this category again for my family .

Fun, but a one time game

So this game is ok. It’s pretty fun. It’s basically a different form of clue. The downside is it says it’s a one time solve game. So I think you can’t play it more than one. It was fun and a neat concept, but I like games that can be played more than once.

New twist on old classic

What a fun way to introduce the younger family to a new version of the classic Clue! We enjoyed the mystery and the change of pace from the old game. The one time is a bit of a drawback but still fun.

Love a mystery

Game was fun. My son and I have always enjoyed mystery games so that part was down our alley. I was a fan of the idea of a one and done game though. Took us about 3 hours with breaks

So much fun and definitely worth it

This game was so much fun! It kept everybody actively engaged and interested. The only thing that made me give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that some of the instructions were a little unclear. It made some moments a little difficult to navigate. But I think the biggest thing they missed was details needed to solve the game. When it came time to solve the game, we had a great strategy and did really good, except one part. It was a part that seemed to be completely missed in the game so we had no clue that it even existed. (Trying to explain without giving away the answer)

Worth a play

Overall the game was ok. Not my favorite but not terrible. I'd choose regular clue anyway. Good for teens and adults. Packaging was solid. Needs better marketing
