Clue Escape: The Midnight Hotel Board Game, 1-Time Solve Escape Room Games, Mystery Games, Ages 10+

Not a fan of this version of clue.. very hard to assembly, especially with young impatient children. Most pieces are cardboard cut outs that need to be assembled. Also don’t like the idea of “building the board as you go” .. prefer the original clue much more.

Clue Escape: The Midnight Hotel Board Game is so much fun! This game can be played with 1-6 players (yes 1). If you like Clue and you like Escape Rooms, don't pass this one up. This would be perfect for a big fan of either or a small tween, teen, adult birthday party. I would say this is probably a beginner level, but still fun if you are beyond that level. The directions are easy to follow. There are hints and solutions if you get stuck. I would say that most probably play this game once, but you could always play and gift it to someone else.

We tried to play this several times. And four of us agree this isn’t made well at all. For it to be built up it should at least be cardboard. It was really to difficult to play. And we are huge fans of Clue.

You talking bout fun this is this game. So me and my friend had fun trying to figure out who the killer was. It wasn't easy but it wasn't hard either just enough to make you think a little bwe had a blast playing it. So go get you one you might like it

We got this for family night. We always enjoy playing games with the kids. They got really excited trying to guess the clues as we played. This has always been one of my favorite games so I was really excited to share it with my kids. We have played several times already and plan to play again soon.

Fun board game that lives up to the Clue brand. Well written narratives direct the flow through the Midnight Hotel, and mysterious puzzles and clues keep you guessing. The rules and quick start instructions are simple, almost too simple. Trust the process and just go with it! We played as a family, and while our youngest, at 8, needed some assistance reading, they were still able to participate in trying to solve the puzzles and unlock the clues. The game play is a bit methodical. This is not a quick game, but as a game that definitely makes you think outside the box, it is worthy of an entire game night with family or friends.

My entire family is enjoying this version of a classic game we’ve been loving for years. Instructions are clear and easy to understand, the secrets revealed are so much fun of course, and I really like that this can be played with our 8 year old without her losing interest!

We often have family game night at my house. This clue escape was something very different from what we normally play. My family had fun trying to solve the clues to find out who tried to steal the blackmail.

I played this game with my husband and our two daughters and we all had so much fun! It’s not like traditional clue, but it’s the same concept… you have to figure out who committed the crime. I’m just unsure if there can be multiple different outcomes or if it’s always the same one

My family does family game night every Sunday and we've gotten pretty bored with our current selection and this came at a great time! We already have the original Clue games but have never played the Clue Escape before and it was super fun! I have a large age range (8-40) in my family and everyone was able to enjoy it.

Our family had a lot of fun with this game. My kids are 13 and 15 and really enjoy mystery type games and movies but have never done an actual escape room. This is a one time play game. Meaning once you solve it you are done with it (i.e. you know who committed the murder!). Clues were easy enough to figure out but not too easy. It was a little challenging and I think it was good we played it as a family so we parents were helping too. Such a great idea for a family board game night. Very different than other games! I was impressed withe the quality and the uniqueness of this game. I recommend this game for a different style of game night: the Escape room night.

This is a good gift or purchase for a group or for the kids if they like escape room type of games. My kids worked on it together - ages 9, 12, and 15. It took them a while to figure it out, so I wouldn't say it's great for kids or beginners with escape room type of games. They did enjoy it and want to do another one, so it stinks that you pay for the game and it's a one time use, like many other escape room games. After you do it once you can't do it again, but could gift it to someone else to do for fun as a used game.

This game is so much fun . Me and my daughter played with her friends and it was so great . You solve a mystery all while decoding fun puzzles and the suspense throughout the game is so exciting . Escape the motel before midnight while keeping your secrets safe . This is a great game for family fun or teens to play together .

This was a great game to play with my kids who are Clue fans. I like how the board builds to add on extra pieces. It was a neat take on the classic Clue game. It takes some time to play through the game, so it is definitely geared toward older children. We didn't get through the game the first time as we ran out of time to play. It was great for my kids to work together to solve the clues.

We’ve always wanted to try one of these escape type games and I was super excited to see that Clue has escape games. In this game, you solve puzzles, get clues, work to build the hotel and ultimately find out who tried to steal the blackmail files. There are hints in the directions in case you have issues solving the puzzle. The only downfall I see is that you can really only play it once. Those players know the solution so a whole different group would have to play this game. It makes sense, but I wish there was a way to change the final outcome so it could be played multiple times. My daughters definitely enjoyed playing this game and we’d definitely get another like this.

We are big board game lovers in our family. Love a new fresh version of clue to keep things interesting! This set is particularly small which makes it great for travel. Fun game for the whole family to participate in.
