When I first got this Nerf gun, I had charged up some batteries to put in it. This does require eight AA batteries. And I would say that it did not work. I read the instructions and pulled both of the triggers at the same time, and it does not seem that it has power to it. I bought eight more batteries and continue to have the same issue. I'm not sure if there's a manufacturer issue with this guy or if you require some other special batteries, but I have tried three different batteries in this gun, and I have had difficulty operating and trying to get power to it, so I recommend this Nerf gun.

My son gave this Nerf Rival Challenger nurf toy a 10/10! At first, we didn't realize it needed batteries as we have other Nerf guns that don't need batteries. However, it didn't matter to us because it was a neat toy to mess around with. The tiny little blue syrafoam like balls are soft enough without breaking anything in the house.

The new nerf rival challenger MXXIV-1200 is really an amazing fun toy . My two oldest loved it . They had so much fun playing . If you have a tween I definitely recommend as a gift .

My son was excited to receive this gun. While it looks cool it requires 8 batteries. It took a while to find the right batteries for it. In the end he would rather have a gun that doesn’t require batteries.

This Nerf gun was pretty cool for my son and I to try. I like that he was super excited that I surprised him with this. There was enough amo that was included with it. The gun was fun and easy to assemble. It came with all the pieces. He was qnlw to hold it and put batteries inside. The only problem was that it did not want to start even switching batteries (8). I looked up instructions and videos, and ur didn't star. Nit sure I'd it was defected, but hey. It was definitely worth the trial!! Im going to continue to get it to work. I'll update my review when ot does.

This Nerf gun is great for older kids to use, because there’s a good amount of power with each trigger pull, and the balls launch pretty far. But it’s still lightweight to use, for hours of fun!

This awesome gun is really fun! It shoots fast and has the power to shoot far. It holds 8 AA batteries so not only does it shoot far but it makes a noise when the trigger is pulled. It is durable and detailed. We love it!

This is an amazing nerf product. We are big fans of the brand already and the Challenger is the icing on the cake. It’s great for older kids as it has a lot of power behind it and is heavier to hold. It’s very durable and tons of fun!

I received this Nerf Rival Challenger MXXIV-1200. This is really cool colors and it’s rather big. It is a hand gun still and not very heavy. The blue balls are soft and comes with 18. This have dimples for precision battling and aerodynamic speed. This gun is motorized semi-automatic. So it can shoot relatively fast. The magazine holds 12 rounds at a time and is really easy to load. Also not to mention the long magazine looks cool on this gun. This gun does have a safety on it. You do need 8 double A batteries for this gun which is kind of a lot but it does shoot fast and is worth the money for sure! I recommend this gun it is a really nice semi-automatic.

This Nerf Gun is pretty Awesome. My son was so excited to play with it. He has a bunch of other nerf guns, but nothing like this one. Him and his friends spent a couple hours running around the yard playing with it. The gun is very good quality also. Would definitely recommend

My kids love this toy. It a great outdoor activity on a nice hot day. This is great for older kids. The accuracy is amazing. It comes with 18 balls which are pretty soft. Super safe and super fun.

This product is super fun to play with. The balls are soft and can be shot rather far. Now, I would love to say I want more, but the fact it takes 8 AA batteries bugs me. I feel it is a bit too many for a toy.

Pretty cool Nerf weapon. My son is an absolute rival freak and this is one of his new favorites. It has a very decent motor and shoots pretty far pretty fast. The 12 round banana style magazine does empty very quickly. Comfortable to hold and not very heavy at all. The only downside is this toy gun utilizes eight AA batteries, which is pretty hefty.

Good handheld size. Great power shoots fast. Downside, you run out of bullets in seconds and have to reload. A side tank maybe for more bullets to funnel in would be great.

So when I tell you I was excited to get this to play around with my boyfriend n son I was excited. Butttt the first thing is it requires 8 batteries which I had to buy and then we got them all in and it don’t even work .so I’m highly disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone .

I received this Nerf Rival Challenger MXXIV-1200 from Influenster to try for free in exchange for my honest opinion. Nerf is a BIG deal in my house! We love to have Nerf Wars as a family! My 15 year old son is obsessed with Nerf guns! He has quite a few of their Fortnite set! He has Autism, so we do have to watch him with putting the ammunition in his mouth to chew on, but this is listed for 14+ children and isn’t a real issue. This is a motorized Nerf gun, so be prepared to buy AA batteries for it! They do not come included, and it does require quite a lot to operate. It takes 8 to be precise. It comes with 18 little Accu-Round ammunition balls. They do come out fast, so they may hurt if you accidentally hit someone in the face. The curved magazine can hold 12 rounds, and is easy to fill! This gun also has a trigger lock, which my son says is important for safety! LoL. Smart kid! It also has tactical rails and a place for a sling! My son absolutely loves it! I would definitely recommend!
