Love this Jr version of classic game

Clue was a favorite game of mine growing up, so I was so excited to have a simpler Jr version to introduce Clue to my oldest son (seven). We love it and have palyed it countless times. It's simple enough for my seven year old and also fun for me. I would recommended to any game loving child. It would make a great gift or addition to your own family game nights.

This game is so much fun and I love that my kids can join in on the clue fun with this age appropriate game. My daughter loves solving mysteries and keeps asking if we can play it for every game night we have.

Perfect for younger kids

I received this product a few weeks ago and my kids make me play every day. I lile that there are two sides so it can grow with them as they start to understand the game more. Even as an adult I had fun with it. It's a perfect addition for our family fun nights. The rules are simple enough that it is easy to learn and great for multiple ages.

So fun!

I have two daughters, ages 7 and 9, who love to play games. We have played regular Clue with them many times. They LOVE this version. It is a little simpler and sillier, and doesn’t take quite as long to play. They also love that they get two games in one. It’s easily a family favorite now!

Cute twist, some frustrations, overall fun

This is a cute twist on the original game. You have to try to figure out who set off the science-experiment volcano and made a mess. You need to solve who did it, what they used to make the mess, and which class they were playing hooky from when they did it. Our new game came missing the volcano itself, so I printed one out. The first time we played my kids had about 7 billion questions about how they were supposed to arrive at the final guess. It was a little chaotic, but it got much better after the first time we solved the mystery. I think it dawned on them how all of the pieces of information fit into a solid conclusion, or at least a good guess. There were some frustrations with the game. Our volcano was absent from the game, so I don’t know if having that piece would have made any of these other items easier. The second thing was that the clues were on the bottom of game pieces and in the joie de combat excitement, many pieces were knocked over and clues were exposed. This happened all throughout the game. My kids are 11 & 7 and they’d get excited, or would just plow ahead and knock stuff over and accidentally expose a clue. We decided to just make that a fun thing instead of getting upset about it. The game board ripped when we were trying to fold it up. It got bent the wrong way briefly and it ripped very easily. Luckily it was still attached at one point, but since it was our first time using the board it was sad. Lastly, we found some of the instructions confusing and I couldn’t figure out if it’s because I was unintentionally filtering them through my knowledge of how the regular game of Clue worked, or if they were truly lacking in better detail, but I found myself reading and re-reading the instructions all throughout the game and still feeling unprepared to answer all the questions my kids had. The positives: we loved actually playing the game. The kids thought it was fun and a neat idea. There’s a bonus game on the back that helps kids with memory: finding which playground items are missing. That’s cute too. Once we got the through several rounds of the game it was more fast-paced and exciting.

Two Games in One

I grew up playing the original Clue game and my two kids have recently gotten into board games so I thought this would be a good addition to the options. It takes younger kids a bit to learn everything and you have to power through a few games before things start clicking but once they get the rules, it's a fun time. What surprised me is that there's actually two versions of the game that you can play, one on each side of the playing board. It's a good way to introduce the even younger kids to the game and make it easier to move up to the more difficult version.

Fun Game

This is a clever adaptation of the Clue board game (without the adult theme of murder) that's great fun for younger kids. It even comes with two versions that can be played on either side of the board. The easier one is on a playground and is more cooperative. The other side takes place inside the school and is more like the Adult version by having each player figure out who did what, with which item and where. It was easy for my 6-year old to play along and fun for him to figure it out.
