Monopoly but with cards! Harry Potter Version

Simple game, for between 2-5 players. Upon opening you get two decks and a rule sheet. Rules are detailed and explained well. It's similar to monopoly but your goal is to complete sets of same magical item in different color. Then there's magic spells to disrupt or assist. There's also a pay system involving your items or spells. Once you get the hang of it, you understand concept of the game quickly. And game lasts for a fair and good amount of time. Fun for Harry Potter Fans and Monopoly enthusiasts alike!

Complicated but interesting

So this is a complicated game. We tried playing it with 2 people and had trouble picking up on the rules. But I’m sure if you had 3 or 4 people, and a better grasp on the rules, it could be fun and give you the same cut-throat vibe as real Monopoly. The Harry Potter theme was a nice touch.

Literally one of my favorite games! I played the OG version this past summer, it had us in a major chokehold this Harry Potter one is just as fun! It’s like uno and monopoly combined !

Absolutely loved this game!! We’re huge HP fans and haven’t played the card version on Monopoly so it was a little learning curve but once we got the hang of it we had so much fun! I played with just my sister and I so it’s good for two people, but we prefer a larger group so there’s more action. The cards themselves are great and will definitely be brought out for game nights from now on and probably brought on trips since it’s easy to pack. I didn’t purchase these myself, but found it on Amazon for only $7 which I think is a steal for any fun game!

What a fun game! We played this with my kids but then my husband and I also played it at a brewery recently. It plays just like monopoly deal but with some fun Harry Potter surprises. You get to pick a character at the start and they have special powers that help you throughout the game. I also felt like it had more special activity cards than the normal monopoly deal. Like the original version it was about a 20 min game and we had a blast with it!

If you like playing card games, you will like this game. Especially for magic and Harry Potter Fans. It is combination of Hearts magic and classic "Monopoly". There are no long games or boring queues, just strategy, a bit of luck and a lot of fun. Although to be honest, it took us a long time to Figure out the instructions. A fun game with spells, it adds a magical atmosphere to the game. Fun to play with children. Plus you choose a character and play for him, it's fun.

My family and I loved this, and played a solid 4 rounds while testing this out! If you’ve played the original monopoly deal, it was pretty easy to understand how to play this one since it’s the same general concept. We did wish that some of the new things were expanded on a bit like the character cards. But we kind of just ended up making house rules on the things we didn’t quite understand - for example could Cedric take just from the discard or just from the draw pile or one from each? We ultimately played just from either the discard or draw pile, even though a couple of us questioned what was correct. And if we didn’t house rule it, we did find some solutions after a quick google search. Quick note is that if you want to play with the characters, there are only 5 players max allowed and this isn’t clear in the box. I searched all around the box and it doesn’t have a number of players written on it which is odd. Obviously you could play without them but even with that I don’t think you could play with too many people since it would limit how many total cards everyone would have access to. So in general, this seems to be a 2-5 player game.

My girls, age 10 & 13 played this game as they like Harry Potter. The 10 year old liked having the character cards and being able to stop the other player from using their special power. The 13 year old said it was a little confusing but in the end it turned out to be pretty fun. She liked being able to collect the cards and stack up on points and the character cards as well. It’s a small card game that can be thrown in a purse or bag. I would say the packaging and durability are similar to other card games.
